Beaver Dunes State
Park, Oklahoma
Located in the
panhandle of
Oklahoma where in the
nearby town of
Beaver's their motto
is "No man's Land -
Every Man's Town",
this park is as
close to no mans
land as it gets!
Beaver Dunes State
Park is an off-road
paradise; 300+ acres
of dunes with an ORV
area to play in the
sand.
The Beaver Cow Chip
News website has
excellent
information on the
Dunes area and the
requirements needed
to have fun.
Pioneer
campground is
located by the off
road vehicle area,
but if you would
rather just fish on
the small 5 acre lake,
stay over at
Hackberry Bend RV
area which has 7 RV
sites and 10 tent
sites.
It
is still amazing to
people when I tell
them that Oklahoma
has Sand Dunes, so
if you love
to off road checkout
Travel OK's website
for information on
not only Beaver
Dunes, but Little
Sahara not too far
away in Waynoka.
Fun
Fact: The town of
Beaver is the
Cow Chip Throwing
Capital of the World,
and every April they
hold a championship
throwing contest to
prove it.
The
Beaver River
Wildlife Management
Area is close to
the park, as well as
the
Jones and Plummer
Trail Museum.
