Greenleaf State
Park, Oklahoma
Located near Braggs,
just south of
Muskogee Oklahoma.
This park has been
named "park of the
year" numerous times
and there is a good
reason why; the park
is not only very
beautiful, but
everyone is
extremely friendly
from the office
staff to the camp
hosts.
This is one of our favorite
parks because this
park has so much
to offer. Greenleaf
offers something for
everyone to do with
their huge activity
lists at the Nature
Hut Nature Center.
Star parties,
campfire stories,
nature hikes, animal
feedings, canoe
races, nature
crafts, and all
around outdoor
education are big
reasons why we love
this park.
The park basically
has two levels, the
"top" level which is
the entrance and the
"Below" area which
includes the main
part of the park
with the
cabins,
nature hut,
marina,
lake access etc.
RV
Camping is available
on top of the park
at Gobbler Ridge
which is spaced out
and offers nice RV
sites with plenty of
room. Below and
closer to the action
is Deer Run
which offers Full
Hookup RV sites,
also there is a
large tent area.
Greenleaf has 5
camping areas total
but we like Gobbler
Ridge the best due to
its quiet location
on top of the park.
Gobbler Ridge is the
only RV area that
can be reserved,
call the park office
5 days in advance.
Please call
BEFORE going to
this park, it is
extremely popular
and can be difficult
to get into without
reservations!
Greenleaf has one of
the best hiking
trails in the state
with its 17 mile
long
Greenleaf
Trail, and also has
several great trails
for those just
looking for a nice
short hike.
