Honey Creek State
Park, Oklahoma
Located
in
Grove, home of
Grand Lake O' the
Cherokees, and
what I like to call
Oklahoma's little
Branson. Honey Creek
is situated at the
end of State Park
Rd. just down from
our favorite ice
cream store,
Dairy Queen.
Honey
Creek State Park was
our first state
park, in our first
RV, on our first RV
trip, and all I can
say is thank you for
the location close
to Wal-Mart, and to
the awesome camp
host Herb for all
his help and how-to
information!
The
park has very nice
RV sites, fishing
dock, swimming pool,
a nice camp office,
and great
views of the lake
with nice picnic
tables right by the
water for a relaxing
view. RV sites in
Squirrel Hollow
(area B) numbers 3-8
are preferred and
offer a nice rear
view of the
lake,13-15 are
preferred pull thru.
There
is no-way to get
bored in Grove,
things to see like
Har-Ber Village,
which is a must see
museum if you like
antiques,
The Cherokee Queen
Paddleboat rides,
Lendonwood Gardens,
Cayuga Mission
Church, several
area golf courses,
and great fishing
make this area a
can't miss.
Grand Lake hosts an
Annual Pelican
Festival ,with
many fun activities
for the family each
September.
