a wilderness getaway
with some of the
best hiking areas in
the state.
McGee Creek Natural
Scenic Recreation
Area is located
on the northeast
side of the park and
has 25 miles of
gorgeous hiking,
biking and horse
back riding. The
trail system is park
of the southeastern
edge of the
Ouachitas and you
can still get lost
in the woods.
Bass
fishermen are drawn
to
McGee Creek
Reservoir for
the thrill of some
of the best Bass
fishing Oklahoma has
to offer. Locals
call McGee Creek a "Lunker
Lake" and
several Bass caught
from the lake are
legends in their own
right.
RV
sites have more of a
wilderness feel, we
really thought
Buster Hight area
was the best, the 25 RV
sites seemed nestled
into the woods. A
swimming beach is
located in Buster Hight area, as well
as a lighted fishing
dock and boat ramp.
Potapo area has 8
lake huts (similar
to small cabins) and
16 RV sites.
