October 17th 20009: Tenkiller Haunted Halloween ! One of our favorite Halloween events: a spooky trail, pumpkin carving, fun and games; all in one of our favorite State Parks. 7-10 p.m. Admission is $4 for Adults, Kids under 12 $1.50


October 16th thru 18th 2009: Robbers Cave Fall Festival Arts, crafts, good food, and a great car show, this is one of our favorite annual events!


June 2009: Online reservations are now available for the Resort Parks in The Oklahoma State Parks System! This system is for Cabins & Lodges and is available to the following Resort Parks... June 2009: June 18th-20th 2009 Kiamichi Owa-Chito Festival of the Forest at Beavers Bend State Park. "The purpose of Kiamichi Owa-Chito, Inc. is to stage an annual Festival of the Forest in an effort to acquaint the people of Oklahoma and the world with the beauty, heritage, culture, industry and progress in Kiamichi Country."


June 2009:  Flooding News from the Oklahoma State Parks Website !!!

Due to high water, the following State Parks or areas are affected:

"McGee Creek SP-The handicapped accessible fishing dock is not available.

The following parks have limited campsites available due to high water:

Sequoyah State Park on Fort Gibson Lake-12 RV campsites in Cherokee Campground are unavailable. The Golf Course is open however some holes have temporary greens.

Please call ahead if you are planning to visit these parks, and check this website for further updates on high water notices.
