Quartz Mountain Resort State Park, Oklahoma. (Also known as Quartz Mountain Nature Park)

 Located near Lone Wolf, in the Quartz Mountains of Southwestern Oklahoma, Quartz Mountain Resort Park is actually managed by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

 This parks highlight is the gorgeous Quartz Mountain Resort Lodge, and the beautiful buildings that surround it. We fell in love with the area, it is located close to the Wichita Wildlife Refuge (52 miles), yet has a feel of adventure all its own.

 The hike up quartz mountain via New Horizon Trail  and the view from the top is breath taking (literally). The park offers great fishing in lake Altus, wonderful food at the Sundance Cafe Restaurant which is located in the Lodge, and we felt very welcome.

 Kids will love the Nature Center, and adults will love the feel of luxury offered at the lodge.

 The RV area is very nice, full hookup sites, and a convenience store is located in the park for anything forgotten. RV sites are all first come first serve, no reservations. Cabins are available, as well as tent sites.
