Red Rock Canyon State Park, Oklahoma

 Located just outside Hinton, Oklahoma, Red Rock Canyon is an absolute surprise as you drive down into the park. The park is a favorite park now for rappelling, but was once part of the California Road Trail.

 We enjoyed the nice hiking areas, and watching people rappel down the steep canyon walls, and the few people that also tried to scale them back up.

 The RV sites were spaced apart, and laid out nicely, we stayed at Canyon Campground in the park. The walls of the canyon seemed to keep  things cool and quiet when we visited.

 A Swimming pool, group bunkhouse area, small pond, and nice picnic shelter are also in the park.
