for monthly events
at Wah-Sha-She State
Park
Located
near
Copan, Oklahoma,
Wah-Sha-She State
Park is on
Lake Hulah, and
it's
Osage Indian Tribe
name means "The
Water People".
The park is very
popular as a fishing
hot spot, and water
sports are allowed
on the small lake.
The area is
surrounded by the
Hulah Wildlife
Management Area,
and Bald Eagles
winter near the
park.
Wah-Sha-She
is close to the
Tall Grass Prairie
which is a fun day
trip while staying
at Wah-Sha-She or at
its neighbor to the
south
Osage Hills State
Park.
Rv
sites at the park
were nice, most had
shade and were
level, but the park
felt a little
crowded.
The Lake View RV
area is the most
popular and some
sites do have nice
views of Hulah Lake.
Canoe
paddling was a
surprise find near
the park on the
Caney River.
This
part of Oklahoma is
known as
Green Country
and lives up to the
name with many
roaming hills,
trees, and wildlife
everywhere.
